Black-dyed longleaf pine needles are coiled with three colours of waxed linen thread, black, slate grey, and royal blue, and accented with diamond stitching. The outer rim is worked as a continuous, uninterrupted infinity coil, a distinctive and unusually demanding technique. At the center, the grey-speckled granite is marked with vivid blue droplets of azurite, creating a striking focal point within the dark basket.
